Doctorate in Applied Educational Psychology

Soulbury Senior and Principal EP Scale Points 3-6

A rare and exciting opportunity has arisen for an Academic and Professional Tutor to work with the Doctorate in Applied Educational Psychology (Professional Training) Programme.

The Academic and Professional Tutor role involves contributing to all aspects of course management, delivery and development. This includes participating in module planning and teaching, tutorial and placement support, research supervision and assessment of trainee performance.

Applications are invited from suitable qualified and experienced HCPC Registered Educational Psychologists who have a strong track record of effective professional practice, as well as a good knowledge and awareness of training issues and a proven track record of offering high quality supervisory and management support.

The secondment is initially offered on a one-year annually renewable basis. Applicants will be expected to continue to work as HCPC Registered Educational Psychologists for a portion of time outside their work with the University.

It is expected that applicants will discuss the feasibility of being seconded to the University with an employer and obtain their in-principle agreement to supporting such an arrangement. The University will reimburse the employer with the pro-rata salary and employment on-costs.

Any informal enquiries can be addressed to Dr. Nick Durbin, tel: 0115 846 2742 or email nicholas.durbin@nottingham.ac.uk. Please note that applications sent directly to this email address will not be accepted.

The School of Psychology is proud to hold an Athena SWAN Silver Award.

Our University has always been a supportive, inclusive, caring and positive community. We warmly welcome those of different cultures, ethnicities and beliefs – indeed this very diversity is vital to our success, it is fundamental to our values and enriches life on campus. We welcome applications from UK, Europe and from across the globe.
