In particular we are looking for scientists with research experience using tools for imaging and manipulating neuronal activity as well as experience in genomic analysis. The candidate should ideally have a background in mouse genetics using inbred strains and their derivatives, circuit neuroscience techniques such as optogenetics and miniscope imaging, and single-cell genomic approaches to understand how the brain shapes behavior. A record of high-quality research in these areas is required. The candidate is expected to teach graduate and undergraduate courses, mentor undergraduate, masters, and doctoral students with diversity and equal opportunity as an essential component.

A Ph.D., M.D. or equivalent degree in neuroscience, genetics, or other related disciplines is required.
Candidates must be highly motivated, have good verbal and written communication skills in English, and have experience working and collaborating with research teams. Experience supervising a research program is essential.

Interested candidates should submit: i) curriculum vitae, ii) a statement of research accomplishments and future plans, and iii) the names and complete addresses of thee references (do not send letters) to the application portal at: For additional information about the position, contact Margaret Chu at
