Job Description


The Psychology Department of Iona College invites applications for adjunct positions to begin in Fall 2019. At the undergraduate level we have openings for:


Introductory Psychology

Developmental Psychology

Quantitative Research Methods (Statistics).

These courses meet during the day (before noon) and early evening (5:00 PM).


At the graduate level, we have an opening for someone to teach Group Dynamics. This course will be populated with students from our School Psychology Program. The course meets on Mondays at 6:30 PM.


Required Experience

For all courses, the minimum requirements are a master’s degree and one year of recent college-level teaching. Preference will be given to those with a doctoral degree and more extensive teaching backgrounds.


For the graduate course, a doctoral degree is required along with one year of recent college-level teaching; preference will be given to those with a history of teaching at the graduate level and a background in school psychology.


Interested individuals should submit a cover letter indicating his or her area of interest and days and times of availability, along with a curriculum vita that includes a list of three references. Successful candidates will be contacted for an interview and teaching demonstration
