Title Adjunct Instructor, Department of Psychophysiology

Saybrook University is seeking a doctoral level psychologist having extensive experience with SPSS to join its Department of Psychophysiology in the College of Integrative Medicine and Health Sciences as an adjunct instructor.

Under the direction of the Chair, Department of Psychophysiology, the adjunct instructor is responsible for teaching courses for the department.

Position responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Teaching courses based on existing syllabi and Canvas course shells within the psychophysiology department which require a knowledge of SPSS under general supervision of the Chair, Department of Psychophysiology.
  • Work with students taking the above courses to insure that they understand how to apply SPSS to their projects and required analyses.
  • Monitoring and participating in weekly streaming discussions during which students demonstrate their understanding of the course material.
  • Grading all student submissions and keeping track of grades as specified within the course syllabi according to Saybrook Universities criteria.
  • Assisting in the development of course materials including locating appropriate supporting literature and organizing course materials.
  • Approximate time requirement is approximately 200 hours per course.

Position Requirements:

  • Extensive experience performing psychophysiologically oriented research.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Extensive knowledge of SPSS.
  • Doctorate in psychology or a related field.
