Job Description

 

The University of Nevada, Reno School of Medicine is currently seeking a General Psychiatrist at the level of Assistant or Associate Professor who has experience with diverse populations and prior academic leadership experience. This is a full, non-tenure track position and responsible for clinical and classroom teaching of general psychiatry medical students and psychiatry residents, including clinical supervision and small group teaching. This position will also provide direct clinical care in clinical settings affiliated with the Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences.

 

Required Qualifications

 

Applicants must have an MD, DO, or equivalent degree with successful completion of an accredited Psychiatry Residency by the time of hire. Must be ABPN certified in general psychiatry within 2 years of hire date. Must have excellent communication skills. Candidates must be eligible for an unrestricted Nevada medical license, malpractice insurance, and must be able to be successfully credentialed by Northern Nevada teaching hospitals.
