211-0014/18-2E: Associate Professor of Human Neurophysiology and Motor Control across the lifespan
The Department of Nutrition, Exercise and Sports, Faculty of Science, University of Copenhagen invites applications for a position as Associate Professor in the area of ”Human Neurophysiology and Motor Control across the lifespan” from 1 March 2019 or as soon as possible thereafter.  
The applicant is required to hold a PhD degree (or equivalent academic degree) of relevance for human physiology, motor control, exercise and sports sciences and to have documented research experience in neurophysiology and human motor control.
Applicants are also required to have university-level teaching experience, documented teaching competencies and must be able to explain and reflect upon own teaching practice and portfolio. Formal pedagogical training or supervision equivalent to the University of Copenhagen teacher training programme for assistant professors is required.
Duties include the applicant’s own research, development of the research area of neurophysiology, neuroplasticity and motor control, assessment tasks, grant applications, and research management such as supervision and training of research fellows and other staff. The successful applicant must also teach, supervise, prepare and participate in examinations, and fulfill other tasks requested by the Department.
The teaching tasks are expected to include teaching and course responsibility for BSc courses in human anatomy, physiology, motor control and exercise physiology and MSc courses in neurophysiology and motor control. Teaching may also be relevant in other educations at the department.
Assessment of applicants will primarily consider their level of documented, original scientific production at an international level, including contributions to developments in their field, in the area of neurophysiology and motor control, as well as their documented teaching qualifications. Managerial and out-reach qualifications of applicants including ability to attract external funding will also be considered.
The successful applicant will be part of the research group ‘Motor Performance and Health’ in the Section ‘Integrative Physiology’, which has a strong focus on both basic science and cross-disciplinary research. The section consists of three full professors, 7 associate professors, 8 assistant professors and post docs and more than 20 PhD students as well as laboratory technicians.

Commencing salary is currently up to DKK 467.099 including annual supplement (+ pension up to DKK 79.873)  
Negotiation for salary supplement is possible.
