In September 2019, The School of Psychology at the University of Kent will be offering a new BSc degree in Business Psychology. We are seeking to appoint a Lecturer in Business/Organisational Psychology who will teach and engage our students and develop and contribute to modules on our new BSc (Hons) Business Psychology programme.


The University of Kent is making a significant investment in the School of Psychology, which is currently going through an ambitious and exciting programme of expansion in order to achieve its strategic goals of international excellence.


We particularly welcome applications from candidates whose research will complement or enhance our existing areas of expertise (Teaching and Research), or who can demonstrate practice-based scholarship with a strong track record in teaching (Teaching & Scholarship).


You will be able to demonstrate your suitability to teach organisational and business psychology at undergraduate and postgraduate level (e.g., through relevant additional training, links with organisations/businesses, cross disciplinary grants or publications).


As Lecturer in Business/Organisational Psychology you will:

  • deliver and contribute to the design of high-quality, demand-driven and student-centred taught programmes in business and/or organisational psychology
  • make a sustained and significant contribution to world-leading research and/or scholarship which enhances the international profile of the University of Kent’s School of Psychology
  • contribute to and fully engage in delivering on the School’s plan, particularly in relation to business psychology
  • pro-actively contribute to administration in the School, Faculty, and University

To be successful in this role you will have:

  • PhD in Psychology (or equivalent) or a cognate discipline
  • experience of supervising student projects
  • evidence of administrative experience
  • teaching skills appropriate to higher education at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels
