DESCRIPTION

The University of California, at Berkeley, is generating an applicant pool of qualified temporary part- time instructors (“Lecturer” title series) to teach courses in the Department of Psychology during the fall, spring, and summer should the need arise. Applicants will be selected from this pool throughout the academic year. The number of positions varies from semester to semester, depending upon the needs of the Psychology Department. Positions typically start at the beginning of the semester, and appointments may be renewable based on need, funding, and performance. A co-taught course typically results in a 17% appointment, and a single course typically results in a 33% appointment.

Therefore, appointments may vary from 17% - 100%, depending on the needs of the department. The posting will remain open through December 14, 2018 to accommodate upcoming course needs and new applicants. Appointments for fall semester are usually reviewed in April, spring semester in October, and summer semester in November. If you wish to remain in the pool after December 14, 2018 you will need to reapply. Please direct questions to psychsearch@berkeley.edu.
