DEGREE AND AREA OF SPECIALIZATION:
Ph.D. required in Special Education or closely related field by August 20, 2018.
Expertise in one or more of the following research areas: (a) Students with intellectual disability or autism; (b) inclusive education for students with intensive support needs.

 

MINIMUM NUMBER OF YEARS AND TYPE OF RELEVANT WORK EXPERIENCE:
*Evidence of established scholarship with the potential for contributions of national significance.
*Evidence of successful teaching experience at the university level (preferred).
*Evidence of pursuing extramural funding (preferred).
*Experience working with PK-12 students from nondominant cultural, linguistic, and economic communities (preferred).
*Commitment to inclusive education (preferred).
*Expertise in Applied Behavior Analysis and single case design (preferred).
*At least three years of professional experience working with students with disabilities (preferred).

POSITION SUMMARY:
The Department of Rehabilitation Psychology and Special Education at the University of Wisconsin-Madison is seeking outstanding candidates for a tenure-track faculty position. Desirable candidates should be able to accept key responsibilities as the department seeks to (a) provide high quality teacher preparation, (b) provide exemplary graduate student training, and (c) pursue extramural funding to support distinguished research. Appointment start date will be August 20, 2018. Appointment will be full time for the nine-month academic year. Salary is competitive and contingent on experience and qualifications. Additional remuneration for summer session teaching is possible.
