About the Position:
Bond University is establishing the Interdisciplinary Centre for the Artificial Mind (iCAM) an ambitious research centre devoted to the analysis of the mind’s development across the lifespan and in interaction with artificial environments (robots, virtual/augmented/mixed reality).  iCAM is based in the School of Psychology and the Faculty of Society & Design, with an interdisciplinary focus it is attracting an international team of researchers in the areas of Cognitive Neuroscience, Psychology, Mathematics and Engineering.

Bond University’s School of Psychology has established itself as a leader in undergraduate and postgraduate teaching and research, offering a number of study options. With nationally and internationally recognised psychology academics, our research facilities cater to a wide range of areas including clinical and organisational psychology, social psychology, health psychology and human cognition.

This is an outstanding opportunity for an experienced and highly motivated candidate to make a significant contribution to the research effort and outcomes of iCAM and the wider School and Faculty.  The appointee will contribute to collaborative scientific projects with national and international universities, industry partners, and participate in bilateral contracts. This position assumes an active lead in securing research funding and publishing the highest quality and impactful research outputs.

About the Person:
The successful applicant will hold a PhD in cognitive or computer sciences, or artificial intelligence, or a related field. They will have expertise in EEG and BESA systems and possess a demonstrated record of publishing high quality research in internationally peer-reviewed publications.

The successful candidate must have capacity to work as part of a team, develop and maintain good relationships with colleagues and peers, excellent writing and pedagogical skills, as well as the capacity and drive to attract significant funding through collaborative projects. The Faculty of Society & Design offers a multi- discipline environment and we seek a colleague who will thrive in such a context.

Remuneration Details:
Bond University offers a vibrant international campus with state-of-the-art facilities in a picturesque location, as well as a range of tangible benefits including (but not limited to): competitive remuneration, bus services to the door, available car parking, use of library, Career Development Services, corporate discount programs and a bulk-billing medical centre on-site.

A competitive salary will be offered, dependent on qualifications and experience, ranging from $136,433.15 - $143,126.18 plus superannuation.  Salary packaging maybe available for eligible candidates.
