The Yale Child Study Center has an opening for an Assistant Professor of Clinical Child Psychology.  The successful candidate will be involved in clinical research conducted at the Denis Sukhodolsky lab and the primary responsibilities will include providing cognitive-behavior therapy to children participating in a clinical trial of behavior therapy for irritability adolescents with autism spectrum disorder.  This position also requires conducting psychological assessments and neuropsychological testing with study participants.  Other responsibilities will involve providing training and supervision of trainees in the Sukhodolsky lab including supervising assessments of cognitive functioning, language, and adaptive functioning.  The position will also offer opportunities to contribute to the preparation of research papers and conference presentations based on the recently completed randomized controlled trial of CBT for anxiety in children with autism.

Successful candidates must possess a doctoral degree in psychology, a postdoctoral fellowship in child psychology, and be licensed in Connecticut.  Training and experience in behavioral and cognitive-behavioral therapy for children and adolescents with autism spectrum disorder are highly preferred.
