DescriptionThe Department of Neurology at the Yale School of Medicine seeks to hire a neurohospitalist/ neurologist or subspecialty trained neurologist with interest in Neuromuscular and General, inpatient and outpatient neurology at the rank of Assistant Professor to complement our services in Westerly, Rhode Island. The inpatient component of the position will include evaluation and management of the whole spectrum of neurological disorders in the emergency department, the general medical and surgical floors, and the intensive care unit, and the geriatric psychiatry unit. The outpatient component can be tailored to the candidate’s specific interest. We anticipate faculty applicants to be dedicated to excellence in patient care and educating the next generation of subspecialty experts. The position offers applicants an exciting opportunity for individual programmatic development and goal discovery across varied clinical or academic interests within our department. The neurologist will join the ladder faculty at Yale School of Medicine and a team of general and subspecialty-trained neurologists, providing advanced neurologic care using a patient-centered multidisciplinary approach in Connecticut and Rhode Island. We provide a highly collaborative, supportive, and mentored environment that promotes specialists to pursue career growth within their specific area of interest. The clinical team reviews its experience and discusses challenging cases in weekly conferences and seminars and refines its approach through shared quality and safety endeavors.
