Job Description:Summary of Duties and Responsibilities: The Department of Psychology at Iowa State University (ISU) is excited to invite applications for a tenure-track faculty member at the rank of Assistant Professor in our APA-accredited Counseling Psychology doctoral program (with a start date of August, 2024). We welcome applications from scholars with expertise in any area of research, teaching, and clinical work, although preference will be given to those who can contribute to a new departmental research concentration in health psychology. Responsibilities for this position include conducting research, teaching undergraduate and graduate classes, advising doctoral students, and providing service to the department and university.

Department/Program & College Description: The Counseling Psychology program at Iowa State University is an APA-accredited program (since 1973) and has been consistently ranked within the top Counseling Psychology programs in the country for research productivity. With outstanding doctoral students, extensive research/grant-writing support and infrastructure, and a research-friendly teaching load, the successful candidate will find ISU an ideal place to flourish. In further support of Counseling Psychology faculty research, the program has received a half-million-dollar endowment that faculty can use to expand their research opportunities and expertise. The Counseling Psychology program is housed in the Department of Psychology, a friendly and collegial department, which also has doctoral programs in Cognitive and Social Psychology.
