Casual Academics are remunerated according to the category of their duties, as detailed in UQ’s Enterprise Agreement and reiterated in this job profile. Course Ranking and AllocationWe use a rating system to assist in allocating tutors to courses. When rating the courses that are on offer, please remember that the more courses you rate (1 to 4 stars), the greater your chance of being allocated to a course.
The minimum allocation load for most courses is 2 tutorials. Tutorials are either 1 or 2 hours long. Tutors will be paid as per the casual academic salary scale via a predetermined schedule. Payments will vary week to week depending on the course schedule. What We Can OfferThese are casual appointments. As such, there is no firm advance commitment to ongoing or indefinite work. The casual rate will vary according to the work completed.
