The Department of Psychology is currently hiring for an Assistant Project Scientist. Criteria:

Candidate must have a PhD in psychology and at least 5 years of postdoctoral experience. Job responsibilities include supporting the PI in the design and execution of extramurally-funded projects examining the function of cortico-basal ganglia-thalamo-cortical circuits in arousal, motor control, and attention. The candidate must have a strong background in neuroimaging with a focus on complex network analysis of human and rodent fMRI data (e.g., dynamic causal modeling; independent component analysis; graph theory), in optogenetics in the rodent model, as well as in rodent behavior. The candidate should show a strong record of acquiring extramural funding. In addition, the candidate should have experience in the field of traumatic brain injury including behavioral assessment of patients with disorders of consciousness using standardized scales such as the CRS-R. The project scientist should show a track record of supervising graduate and undergraduate students conducting research projects.

Responsibilities include assisting the PI in experimental design, execution of experiments, data analysis and interpretation, manuscript preparation, and oversight of the ongoing projections of undergraduate and graduate students. The appointment will be for 50%.
