Institution Department Description The clinical component of the position consists of service weeks (Monday–Sunday) on the general inpatient or consultation team at Yale-New Haven Hospital in New Haven, CT, and will include evaluation and management of the full spectrum of neurological disorders in the emergency department, intensive care units, and on the medical and surgical floors. The administrative portion of the position includes the roles of division chief and medical director of the Clinical Neuroscience inpatient units. We anticipate faculty applicants will be dedicated to excellence in patient care and team leadership, upholding the highest quality and safety standards, and the education of the next generation of neurologists. The successful candidate will also help shape a vision for a neurohospitalist fellowship program. This position offers an exciting opportunity for individual programmatic development and goal discovery across varied clinical or academic interests within the department. The neurohospitalist will join the ladder faculty at Yale School of Medicine and a team of general and subspecialty-trained neurologists delivering advanced care using a patient-centered multidisciplinary approach. We provide a highly collaborative, supportive, and mentored environment that promotes career growth within specific areas of interest. The clinical team reviews its experience and discusses challenging cases in weekly conferences and seminars and refines its approach through shared quality and safety initiatives.
