The Department of Psychology, University of California, Riverside, invites applications for a tenured Associate/Full Professor faculty position in developmental psychology beginning July 1, 2019. We seek applicants who can contribute to promoting diversity in developmental science; in particular those who aim to understand ethnic and cultural variations in human development, the psychosocial experience of vulnerable and culturally diverse populations, immigrant families, and families affected by poverty or other adverse circumstances. Applicants with research experience in development either at specific age periods or across the lifespan are welcome. Candidates who use or develop innovative methods to understand development across the life course and in diverse contexts are strongly encouraged to apply. Review of applications will begin on October 31, 2018 and will continue until the position is filled. Candidates who apply on or by this date will be given full consideration.

A PhD in Psychology or a related discipline is required. Salary level will be competitive and commensurate with qualifications and experience. Advancement through the faculty ranks at the University of California is through a series of structured, merit-based evaluations, occurring every 2-3 years, each of which includes substantial peer input.
