The Department of Radiology and Imaging Sciences at Indiana University School of Medicine is seeking an innovative and visionary leader to assume the role of Division Chief of Neuroradiology.
The Division Chief will coordinate the clinical, academic, and educational initiatives within the Neuroradiology Radiology Division of the Department of Radiology and Imaging Sciences.
Reporting directly to the Chair, the Division Chief will work collaboratively with department Vice Chairs, other Division Chiefs, Radiology Residency and Fellowship Program Directors, and various departmental leaders to ensure the realization of departmental goals. A close partnership with Radiology Medical Directors, Administrative Directors, and the Community Radiology Chief will be maintained to optimize clinical care at various locations across the State of Indiana.
The primary focus of the Division Chief of Neuroradiology will be to represent and support the Department’s overarching mission while acting as the voice for the Division and its members.

Duties and Responsibilities include the following:
· Enhance the Clinical and Academic missions of the Department, the School, and the Hospitals and patients we serve
· Serve as the Division’s representative within the Department, the Institution, and on the national/international stage
· Coordinate and maintain the clinical schedule
· Monitor Division productivity and key metrics
· Work in conjunction with the Radiology Service Line Leader to maintain a fiscally responsible staffing model
· Coordinate trainee education in the Division
· Advance the research agenda of the Division and Department
· Perform annual Radiologist performance reviews
· Coordinate quality assurance activities for the Division
· Foster collaborations with the clinical services, the Hospitals, and the referring providers
· Other business and academic functions as required by the Department

The Neuroradiology Division comprises approximately 23 faculty members specializing in adult and pediatric neuroradiology and neurointerventional procedures as well as several Advanced Practice Providers. The Department of Radiology and Imaging Sciences currently provides on-site neuroradiology clinical services in downtown Indianapolis at IU Health Methodist Hospital, Riley Hospital for Children, and Eskenazi Health as well as at Goodman Hall, an outpatient facility. Additionally, services are provided remotely to the remaining hospitals and outpatient practices throughout the state of Indiana.

Department Background:
The Department of Radiology was established more than 75 years ago and is home to over 180 radiologists, 35 imaging scientists, and more than 70 residents and fellows. Radiologic services are provided to 19 Indiana University Health facilities and affiliated partners across the state, as well as Eskenazi Health, a public safety net hospital. The department has an active research program, particularly in the neurosciences, and the Academy for Radiology & Biomedical Imaging Research ranked the department 13th nationally in NIH funding in 2023, which places the department 6th for public institutions and 1st for Big 10 institutions.

Basic Qualifications    

Qualifications:
The successful candidate will have an established track record in clinical neuroradiology. Experience should include evidence of building teams and multi-disciplinary collaborations, experience with teaching residents and fellows, and mentorship. A defined research interest with prior publications is desired but not required. Candidates will have a Doctorate (MD or DO) and should be board-certified with a subspecialty certificate in Neuroradiology.
