Two Faculty Positions in the Department of Psychology: Cognitive Neuroscience & Clinical Psychology The Department of Psychology at Özyeğin University invites applications for two faculty positions in Cognitive Neuroscience and Clinical Psychology. Applications are open to candidates at all academic ranks. Appointment rank will be determined based on qualifications and experience. Faculty Position in Cognitive Neuroscience Applicants are expected to have an excellent research and publication record commensurate with their academic title and years in acaemia. The successful candidate will demonstrate strong potential to contribute to the department’s research profile and to advance high-quality, internationally visible research. Expertise is expected in human neuroscience, with particular emphasis on methodologies such as EEG, fNIRS, TMS, and eye-tracking. Experience with multimodal approaches and experimental research is considered an asset. The Department of Psychology is well equipped for experimental and neuroscientific research, currently hosting two state-of-the-art eye-tracking systems and physiological recording devices. The department also has a dedicated budget for the procurement of new research equipment aligned with strategic needs. In addition, the successful candidate is expected to actively pursue external research funding from national and international sources. The faculty member will be expected to contribute to undergraduate and graduate teaching (e.g., Biopsychology, Methods in Neuroscience Research), supervise graduate students, participate in interdisciplinary research initiatives, and strengthen national and international research collaborations within and beyond the university. Faculty Position in Clinical Psychology Although candidates at the Associate Professor or Professor level are preferred, applications are open to candidates at all academic ranks. Evaluation of applications will be based on candidates’ research excellence and publication impact, as well as their undergraduate and graduate teaching experience. The successful candidate is expected to contribute to strengthening the department’s research capacity; to enhance national and international research and educational collaborations both within and outside the university; to teach at the undergraduate and graduate levels; and to provide clinical supervision. About the Department of Psychology Founded in 2011, the Özyeğin University Psychology BA program is accredited by the Turkish Psychological Association, reflecting the high international standards of the education offered. In addition to the BA program, the department offers MA programs in Couple and Family Therapy, Applied Developmental Psychology, and Industrial and Organizational Psychology, as well as a PhD program in Psychology. The department currently hosts approximately 500 undergraduate students, 15 graduate students, two postdoctoral researchers, one honorary professor, and 15 full-time faculty members.
