Description of Work Unit             


Teach the methodology and core content areas of academic psychology to approximately 1000 undergraduates, and to educate and train approximately 95 graduate students in general psychology and in the specialities of Counseling, Applied Social and Health, Cognitive, Cognitive Neuroscience, Industrial/Organizational Psychology or Addiction Counseling.

Position Summary          


The Department of Psychology seeks applications throughout the academic year from individuals who are interested in Instructor positions for Certified Addiction Counseling and Master’s in Addiction Counseling courses within the department. The open positions are non-tenure track assignments. Annual terms and reappointment may depend on performance and/or the continued availability of funding. Instructor will teach undergraduate and/or graduate courses in the area of Addiction Counseling.

Required Job Qualifications        


1. A Master’s degree in Psychology or closely related area

2. Certified Addiction Counseling (CAC)-III certification

3. Colorado Office of Behavioral Health Approved Trainer Status for CAC Clinical Training Program

Preferred Job Qualifications       


1. Licensed Addiction Counselor

2. Ph.D.
