Lecturer in Educational Psychology (0.4fte, fixed-term) – 3 posts (ATS871)

£42,036 to £48,677 per annum, pro-rata for part-time

The School of Education and Lifelong Learning (www.uea.ac.uk/edu) is embarking on an exciting period of growth and development.

We seek to appoint experts in the field of Educational Psychology to assist in the delivery of the Doctorate in Educational Psychology (EdPsyD). Our programme is situated within a critical psychology framework, which is embedded within the principles of social justice, ethical and social responsibility and critical reflection. These are reflected in the programme ethos and our areas of specialism.

Our trainees and partners have described us as forward-thinking, creative, supportive, person-centred and collaborative in our approach. At UEA, our trainees don’t just learn about what other people have done, thought or said. They learn by doing, being curious and bringing criticality to bear on mainstream psychologies to promote positive outcomes for children, young people, their families and communities. At UEA, we do different.

If you share this vision and want to be part of an exciting and dynamic team, then we want to hear from you. As part of the team, you will deliver teaching and supervise trainees on the programme; be involved with the pastoral care of trainees and work with placement providers and regional employers.

You will also work closely with the Course Directors in ensuring compliance with HCPC and BPS accreditation criteria; maintain relationships with external stakeholders and work closely with academic colleagues, local partners and the Postgraduate Research office.

The posts are available from 1 August 2019 or as soon as possible thereafter on a part-time (0.4fte) fixed-term basis for 2 years.

You must have the requisite academic degrees or equivalent qualifications, be a professional in the field and be able to satisfy all the essential criteria detailed in the person specification.

The posts are subject to a criminal record check at enhanced level from the Disclosure and Barring Service.

Closing date: 7 May 2019
