Lecturer in NeurologyPosition OverviewOrganization: Neurology Title: Open rank Without Tenure, Pediatric Neurologist (Epilepsy)-Neurology Position DetailsPosition DescriptionThe Department of Neurology at the University of Washington School of Medicine is hiring for a faculty position specializing in pediatric epileptology to join the Division of Pediatric Neurology at Seattle Children’s Hospital. This position is part of a new TeleNeurology program. This is a full-time, 12-month position at the Open rank (without tenure by reason of funding) in the clinician teacher academic pathway. University of Washington faculty engage in teaching, research and service. This position will have active participation in clinical and teaching programs in the Department. This clinical faculty member will provide general pediatric neurology consultative and principal care services along with consultative care in pediatric epilepsy. The clinical faculty member will supervise residents and students when providing inpatient attending duties and when residents are assigned to the outpatient clinic. These are full-time appointments and are Open rank (without tenure for reasons due to funding). The rank is commensurate with qualification and experience. Assistant Professors are eligible for multi-year appointments that align with a 12-month service period (July 1-June 30). Faculty with 12-month service periods are paid for 11 months of service over a 12-month period (July-June), meaning the equivalent of one month is available for paid time off. Associate and Full Professors hold indefinite appointments that align with a 12-month service period (July 1-June 30). University of Washington faculty engages in teaching, research, and service. This position will require active participation in clinical and teaching programs, and offer opportunities to participate in basic science and clinical research in epilepsy. The base salary range for this position will be $16,564 - $23,762 per month ($198,768 to $285,144 per year), commensurate with experience and qualifications, or as mandated by a U.S. Department of Labor prevailing wage determination. Other compensation associated with this position may or may not include Startup, Relocation Incentive/Moving Allowance Administrative supplement for a defined administrative role, or Productivity Incentive.
