The University of Miami is a private research-intensive institution with over 17,000 students located in suburban Coral Gables just minutes away from downtown Miami. The University’s 12 colleges and schools offer degrees in 135 undergraduate, 146 masters, and 66 doctoral areas of study. The School of Education and Human Development at the University of Miami houses three academic departments: Teaching and Learning, Educational and Psychological Studies, and Kinesiology and Sport Sciences.
Position Description The position is a nine-month lecturer (non-tenure track) position beginning August 15, 2023. The successful candidate will teach undergraduate and graduate courses in applied physiology related to the following content areas: a) nutrition and nutritional biochemistry, b) exercise physiology, c) physical activity and health, and d) other courses within the program as assigned. The candidate will also assist in student recruitment into the Applied Physiology Master’s program. The candidate will teach 12 credit hours per semester (Fall and Spring) with the possibility of a reduced teaching load if a portion of the base salary is shared with another institution on campus. A willingness to collaborate on research and educational activities within the department and across disciplines in preferred.
