Position Description

The Department of Psychology, University of Washington, expects to fill a non-tenure track, Lecturer full-time position.  Appointment expected to begin in September 2020.  We seek a faculty member  to teaching large undergraduate courses in psychology, including Introductory Psychology, Biopsychology, Developmental Psychology, and Research Methods in Psychology, and be able to teach a wide range of sub-fields, and perform scholarship in teaching and learning and evidence-based methods of instruction. Responsibilities will include teaching up to six undergraduate psychology courses per year (autumn, winter, or spring), but not exceeding two courses in any given quarter. Faculty have an annual service period of nine months (Sept 16-June 15). You can learn more about our department, including our vision and mission at our website http://www.psych.uw.edu/


The candidate must have a background in behavioral neuroscience. Ph.D., or foreign equivalent, is required by date of appointment. The University of Washington faculty engage in teaching and service.
