Job Description:Summary of Duties and Responsibilities:
The Department of Psychology in the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences at Iowa State University is looking for a term faculty member at the rank of lecturer. This is a 1/4 time position to teach one course in Psychology for Fall 2023.
Responsibilities will include planning, administering, and teaching a course on the psychology of motivation at the undergraduate level as the instructor of record. Duties will also include weekly office hours to answer questions and to provide assistance to students, evaluate student learning and submit grades in accordance with ISU academic policies.
Required Minimum Qualifications:
Master’s degree in Psychology or closely related field
Preferred Qualifications:
Ph.D. in Psychology or closely related field Minimum of one year of teaching experience at the college or university level
Department/Program & College Description:
The Department of Psychology is a part of the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences and aims to foster an understanding of how humans develop, learn, think, feel, act and relate to one another. The department consists of nationally and internationally known faculty and psychologists, state of the art laboratories and equipment for conducting research, fully and continuously accredited counseling psychology program and individually supervised clinical training. Our faculty conduct research in three major areas of psychology: Cognitive, Social and Counseling.
