Understand early synaptic pathology that precedes cognitive decline. Techniques include: Neuronal cell culture Proteomics CRISPR/Cas9 genome editing Super-resolution microscopy Whole-cell patch-clamp electrophysiology Work in a diverse, interdisciplinary lab with access to core methodologies, models, equipment, and viral vectors from the start. Training provided on-site and through specialized courses. Key Responsibilities Investigate molecular processes leading to pathological synapse dysfunction. Analyze microscopy and electrophysiology data. Publish in peer-reviewed journals and report progress to funding sources. Contribute to teaching and supervision (~10% time). Present research at international conferences. Candidate Profile Master’s degree in Life Sciences, Biomedical Sciences, Biophysics with a specialization in neuroscience. Hands-on experience in molecular biology and cellular neuroscience. Experience with super-resolution microscopy and/or electrophysiology is a plus. Fluent in English, with strong written and oral communication skills. Motivated, collaborative, and able to contribute to diverse and inclusive research environment.
