Duration: 2 years
Start date : 2019
Salary : 55,000/ year plus benefits. Appointments as Postdoctoral Fellows must be started within 5 years of when the PhD was earned.

The Departments of Psychology and Clinical Neuroscience in the Cumming School of Medicine at the University of Calgary is accepting applications for aPostdoctoral Fellow in Neuroscience.

Job Description:

The candidate will join a research team investigating imaging/electrophysiology and modeling of deep brain stimulation (DBS). The aim of the project is to determine the predictors of response and build a working model of the cortical pathways involved in depression, movement disorders, and DBS responsiveness. The candidate will join a dynamic team that uses techniques including imaging and electrophysiology in humans. The candidate will perform experiments, analyze data, write and present their research findings. They are expected to participate in planning and intellectual development of projects, and will use multidisciplinary approaches to satisfy research objectives.


Applicants should have a recent PhD with a strong background in EEG, and/or MR imaging analyses. Candidates must be highly self-motivated, enthusiastic and adaptable, with good oral and written communication skills.
