We are looking for candidates ready to hit the ground running with experience in neuroimaging (structural or functional MRI), and interest in emotion regulation and psychiatric disorders. Start as soon as possible. The position will be located at the University Hospital of Psychiatry at the Center for Translational Research at the University of Bern, Switzerland.
The successful candidate will be joining a diverse team performing cutting-edge research on emotion regulation and psychiatric disorders under the mentorship of Dr. K. Stegmayer, MD. The lab uses and develops techniques and approaches to characterize brain network organization, function and dysfunction in adults with psychiatric disorders.
Job description includes but is not limited to: MRI data acquisition, data analyses (event-related task activation, resting state, structural data processing (e.g. DTI, cortical thickness and volumetric), co-supervision of undergraduate and graduate research assistants, co-authoring manuscripts and grants, presenting research progress at lab meetings, conferences, and other scientific forums.
Requirements
Candidates must possess, at minimum, a PhD Degree or an equivalent degree having solid technical/analytic neuroimaging and statistical techniques. Expertise can include neuropsychology, biomedical engineering, biomedical sciences, neuroscience or related disciplines.
Candidates should have excellent organizational and problem solving skills, ability to play, prioritize and keep multiple projects/tasks moving forward simultaneously. Knowledge of emotion regulation
Experience with event-related task activation, resting state and / or structural data processing (DTI, cortical thickness and volumetrics)
Experience with Matlab
Experience with human subjects studies
