Professor (open rank) for Psychology of Digitalization (full professorship, associate professorship or assistant professorship tenure-track)

The Faculty of Human Sciences and the Institute of Psychology at the University of Bern, Switzerland, invites excellent researchers to apply for the position of a Professor (open rank) for Psychology of Digitalization (full professorship, associate professorship or assistant professorship tenure-track) beginning in August 2022.

The Faculty of Human Sciences aims to play a leading role in shaping the digital transformation at the University of Bern from the perspective of human sciences in teaching and research (Strategy 2030 of the Faculty of Human Sciences: https://tinyurl.com/mvn4hrr8). To strengthen the thematic focus on Humans in Digital Transformation, a professor for Psychology of Digitalization is sought to establish and lead a new division at the Institute of Psychology.

The focus of the professorship is on human learning, experience, and behavior in the context of digital transformation. Sound knowledge of data-intensive methods and an empirically oriented psychological research profile are required. In addition, active participation in establishing and developing the University network Humans in Digital Transformation is expected.
 
The professorship is part of the Institute of Psychology and will contribute to teach-ing at Bachelor and Master level. Teaching in German is expected upon completion of the first two years of employment. Qualifications for the position include a com-pleted doctorate and further achievements of scientific excellence. Depending on the individual's academic career, the position will be presented as an assistant pro-fessorship (tenure-track), an associate professorship (Extraordinariat), or a full pro-fessorship (Ordinariat). To promote young scientists, candidates who do not yet hold a professorship are explicitly invited to apply.
