DetailsAbout our teamThe Department of Psychology offers undergraduate and postgraduate taught programmes, as well as supporting a diverse portfolio of research themes. As part of the ambitious development plans for Psychology during 2016, we are aiming to recruit colleagues with a passion for teaching, and who have research interests that complement those of existing staff members. We invite applicants interested in joining a newly constituted School comprising other cognate social science disciplines with over 150 academic staff and more than 5,000 students based at our three campus locations in Edinburgh, Dubai and Malaysia. Applicants with specialisms in any field of Psychology may apply, although we are particularly keen to hear from people with expertise in Social Psychology and Work & Organizational/Occupational/Business Psychology. Key duties and responsibilitiesEducation, Qualifications and ExperienceYou will hold a PhD in Psychology, or equivalent, and have an interest in delivering a high-quality learning experience to undergraduate and, occasionally, postgraduate students. Teaching will involve a broad range of courses, as the post holders will be required to complement and support the current academic staff. Accordingly, we are looking for candidates who are flexible in terms of areas they will cover. All appointees will undertake basic administrative duties.
