Job Description:
The University of Nevada School of Medicine (UNSOM) is currently seeking a full or part-time Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist at the level of Assistant Professor who has experience with diverse populations and a commitment to serving underrepresented groups. This will be a full-time or part-time, non-tenure track position. This position is responsible for both clinical and classroom teaching of medical students, psychiatry residents, and child and adolescent psychiatry fellows including clinical supervision and small group teaching. This position will also provide direct clinical care in clinical settings affiliated with the Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences.

The University of Nevada School of Medicine is the only allopathic medical school in the state of Nevada and its clinical mission extends to all areas of the state. Required Qualifications:
Applicants must have an MD, DO, or equivalent degree with successful completion of an accredited Child and Adolescent Psychiatry fellowship by the time of hire. Must be ABPN certified or preparing for certification in both general and child and adolescent psychiatry prior to employment commencing. Must have excellent communication skills. Must be eligible for an unrestricted Nevada medical license, malpractice insurance, and must be able to be successfully credentialed by northern Nevada teaching hospitals.

Preferred Qualifications:
Teaching experience with medical students and psychiatry residents and/or fellows desirable.
