Postdoctoral Position in Neurotransmission and Signaling INSERM Institut du Fer à Moulin, Department of Neurotransmission
DescriptionA post-doctoral position is open in the team “Neurotransmission and Signaling” at the Institut du Fer à Moulin (INSERM UPMC UMR-S U839). In the framework of an ANR-NSF CRCNS US-French Collaboration funded project “Spatial and temporal aspects of molecular signaling in synaptic plasticity”. The candidate will be part of an international project focused on understanding the role β2 adrenergic receptors (β2ARs) signaling in hippocampal plasticity, and demonstrate how different temporal patterns of stimulation use distinct signaling pathways downstream of β2AR activation.
We are seeking a post-doctoral fellow with expertise in two-photon imaging. A knowledge in stereotaxic injections and electrophysiology will be appreciated. The candidate should have a PhD degree in Neuroscience or fields related to cellular imaging. The fellow will interact with computational neurobiologists so an interest for modeling will be a strong asset. Funding is available for a duration of up to 3 years, with a starting salary depending on previous experience. Starting date is September 2016. Applications should include a letter of intent, a CV including publications and contact information for at least two referees.
