Postdoctoral Researcher in Neuroimaging Karolinska Institute, Department of Neuroscience
DescriptionPostdoctoral Researcher in Neuroimaging of Cognitive Functions:
The successful candidate will work in one or both of the following projects: 1. Characterizing the neural correlates of different working memory aspects, including distractibility, precision and capacity. This project will involve applying multivariate decoding methods and encoding models on single subject fMRI data, neural network modeling and psychophysics. 2. Studying cognitive development and cognitive training. This project will involve several or all of the following methods: fMRI, structural MRI, psychophysics. The post-doc researcher will participate in experimental design, scanning, computer simulations, behavioral testing, analysis and writing of articles. The work will be conducted at the Department of Neuroscience at the Karolinska Institutet, Stockholm, Sweden, which is a stimulating and international research environment (www.ki.se/neuroscience). The work will be supervised by Rita Almeida and developed in the group of Professor Torkel Klingberg. QUALIFICATIONS: A person is eligible for a position as Postdoctoral Researcher if he or she has obtained a PhD no more than seven years before the last date of employment as postdoc. A suitable background is a PhD in neuroimaging, cognitive or computational neuroscience. The ideal candidate should have experience in psychophysics and/or neuroimaging analysis (in particular using multivariate pattern analysis) and/or computational modeling. Programing skills and working knowledge of the most common softwares for neuroimaging analysis are highly valued.
