PhD Student in Neurobiology University of Iceland
DescriptionApplications are invited for a 3 year PhD project at the Laboratory of Neurobiology at the University of Iceland. The project involves the study of gene regulation and activity dependent function in the mouse CNS. This involves diverse techniques including mouse genetics, DNA cloning, protein work, sequencing, gene expression analysis and functional analysis. Experience and thorough understanding of mouse biology, neurobiology and the methods involved is required. Aim of the project is to connect behavior/neuronal function to gene expression and regulation. An open mind and an independent spirit is prerequisite.
Our lab is located in the Biomedical Center of UI, Reykjavik Iceland. The BioMedical Center (BMC) of the University of Iceland is an official collaboration between research groups working in biomedical molecular life sciences within the University, the University Hospital, Reykjavik University and other research institutions.
