Visiting Instructor/Assistant Professor of Psychology Finlandia University invites applications for a Visiting Instructor or Assistant Professor position, beginning August 2016. A PhD in Psychology is preferred, however, an MA in Psychology will be considered at the Instructor level. Previous college-level teaching or teaching assistant experience is preferred. Applicants should possess a background in Cognitive, Clinical, Developmental, or Personality Psychology. The ideal candidate will be able to teach a range of courses including Introductory Psychology, Cognitive Psychology, Personality Psychology, Counseling, Research Methods, Statistics, and History & Systems as well as develop and teach upper-level courses in his or her area of expertise. Other responsibilities include advising students, developing and mentoring student research, maintaining professional development, contributing to program development and assessment, and participating in university/community service. The position requires an individual with a strong commitment to teaching and mentoring students.
