At the Medical University Brandenburg Theodor Fontane (MHB) is the earliest possible date a university professor for Psychosomatics and Psychotherapy(W2-analog) in connection with the location of a senior physician / head physician at the Medical Clinic C Psychosomatic at the Ruppin clinics (University Hospital of MHB) to be filled. The MHB is a state-recognized university in municipal and profit organizations. It stands for innovative teaching concepts and for the unity of research, teaching and patient care. With the three university hospitals Immanuel Hospital Bernau / Brandenburg Heart Center, Ruppin clinics and Municipal Hospital Brandenburg and currently nationwide more than 20 other cooperating hospitals and 35 teaching practices she sees her foundation job in response to changing needs of the health service in the state of Brandenburg and in comparable regions. A special research focus of the MHB is the theme of medicine and psychology of aging (emphasis Care Research). The Department of Internal Medicine and Psychosomatic C has 33 inpatient treatment stations and a medical center practice for Psychosomatics and Psychotherapy. The clinic is concerned mainly with the biperspektivischen simultaneous diagnosis and therapy of somatic (mainly medical and neurological) disorders. There is an intense cooperation with the other somatic clinics of the campus and the Department of Psychiatry and Psychotherapy.Both in patient care as well as in research and education pursued the clinic the goal of interdisciplinary cooperation between medicine and psychology.
The future post holder / the future successful candidate will represent the professional and Psychotherapy in its entire width in teaching, research and patient care and demonstrate a long-term clinical activity. Requirements for appointment are also proof of excellent research achievements in the field of clinical and Psychotherapy, and excellent
Commitment in teaching. The didactic offered by MHB Brandenburger Modellstudiengang Medicine (BMM) follows the methodology of problem based learning (PBL), is practical and science based. The willingness to cooperate in teaching with preclinical subjects in joint courses is expected. Further experience should be demonstrated in the third-party funds. Prerequisites for the Board certification for Psychosomatics and Psychotherapy (with proven clinical expertise in a somatic discipline as internal medicine or neurology) or the Board certification in internal medicine / neurology (with proven clinical expertise in Psychosomatics / Psychotherapy) and the Habilitation or equivalent scientific achievements. It is section 41 para. 1-4 of the Brandenburg Higher Education Act (GVBl. I / 14, [no. 18]) from 28.04.2014. For the performance of the functions a private law service contract with the Ruppin clinics will be closed.
