Post Doctoral Position in Brain Sciences Shenzhen University, Center for Artificial Intelligence and Brain Engineering

Description The Center for Artificial Intelligence and Brain Engineering is recently established at Shenzhen University and directed by two Chinese academicians. The center is interested in molecular and computational coding of neural circuitry, and we focus on healthy and diseased neural circuit at multiple levels from molecule to synapse to circuit to systems. To accomplish these goals, we apply interdisciplinary approaches including CRISPR/Cas9-based gene editing, projection-targeted viral tracing, cell-type specific pharmacogenetics, optogenetics and magnetogenetics, two-photon calcium imaging, in vivo extracellular and intracellular recording and theoretical modeling in freely moving and genetically tractable animals. We have published many papers in Science, Nature, Nature Neuroscience, Neuron, etc. and will foster scientific breakthroughs and career development. We are looking for multiple motivated postdoctoral fellows with technical and research experience with systems neuroscience, optogenetics combined with in vivo electrophysiology, single-unit recording and computational modeling, two-photon calcium imaging, patch clamp, molecular biology or single-cell transcriptomics. The applicant must hold a MD and/or PhD in neuroscience, electrophysiology or molecular biology. The applicant should be enthusiastic, determined and dedicated.
