Aviv University invite applications for a tenure-track faculty position in Behavioral Neuroscience beginning October 2017. Outstanding applicants with research focus on neural basis of behavior and neuropsychiatric disorders with an emphasis on animal models will be considered. Candidates should combine strong behavioral analysis with advanced, state-of-the-art techniques of molecular biology and/or electrophysiology (e.g., genetic and epigenetics techniques, neuroimmunology, optogenetics, pharmacogenetics, in- vivo imaging and electrophysiology). Individuals holding Ph.D. and/or M.D., or equivalent degrees, with two or more years of postdoctoral experience and a strong publication record are encouraged to apply. Applicants should demonstrate excellence in research and strong potential for securing and sustaining independent and collaborative extramural funding. A successful applicant will be expected to develop an innovative, independent research program, and to share our commitment to excellence in undergraduate and graduate education.
