Faculty of Linguistics, Philology and Phonetics, Language and Brain Laboratory, Wellington Square, Oxford The Faculty of Linguistics, Philology and Phonetics seeks to employ Research Assistant in Psycholinguistics to work at the Language and Brain Laboratory in Wellington Square, Oxford. The position is funded on a fixed-term basis for 11 months by a John Fell Award. The successful applicant will work with Dr Matt Husband on a project investigating meaning enrichment in sentence processing. Key duties include preparing experimental materials, recruiting study participants and collect data, and analysing quantitative data from behavioural response times and accuracies, eye movements, and event-related potentials (ERPs). The successful applicant will, among other things, hold a PhD/DPhil in linguistics, psycholinguistics, cognitive psychology, or equivalent together with relevant experience in sentence processing; possess specialist knowledge in both linguistics and cognitive psychology to work within eyetracking methodologies and research designs in sentence processing; and possess specialist knowledge in both linguistics and cognitive psychology to work within ERP methodologies and research designs in sentence processing.
