DescriptionThe doctoral candidate will conduct a genome-wide screen to identify molecular targets, which are instrumental for Notch signaling function in synaptic plasticity and neurodegeneration.
Previous training in molecular and cellular Biology and/or animal behavior and electrophysiology recordings are highly appreciated. The candidate will be enrolled in the BeNeFri School of Neuroscience and will have the opportunity to assist in teaching for Medical and Biomedical Students of the University of Fribourg. The laboratory is located in the newly established Swiss Integrative Center for Human Health (SICHH; http://www.cish.ch/en) and is equipped with the latest high-throughput technologies and specialized personnel for genomics and proteomics research. We are looking for highly motivated young scientists, who can think independently and contribute to develop new scientific avenues in the laboratory. Fluency in English is a requirement.
