DescriptionThe section Psychopharmacology is internationally recognized and has an outstanding track record in Education and Research. The Department of Neuropsychology and Psychopharmacology is responsible for two Research Master Programs (Neuropsychology and Drug Development and NeuroHealth) and one Master Program (Neuropsychology). The Department is also involved in various other teaching activities in the Bachelor Program of Psychology and other Programs at Maastricht University. Maastricht University is well-known for its Problem-Based Learning approach. The most important research lines of the section are: drugs and driving, use and abuse of psychoactive drugs (Prof dr Jan Ramaekers), drugs and cognition (Prof dr Wim Riedel), and the effects of nutraceuticals and/or foods on the brain, behavior and stress-related diseases (Prof dr C Rob Markus).
The candidate is expected to be an excellent teacher and can coordinate courses in the Faculty of Psychology and Neuroscience Program (Bachelor and Master). We are looking for a candidate with a background in Human Psychopharmacology who has published (as a first author) in peer-reviewed high impact journals on topics related to the research lines within the section Psychopharmacology. The candidate has post-doc experience, and preferably has been successful in acquiring (personal) research grants.
