PhD Position in Neuroscience Max Planck Society of Neuroscience
DescriptionUp to 4 PhD positions are available in the Fries Lab (www.esi-frankfurt.de). Projects use optogenetics and multi-site electrophysiology to investigate the causal role of neuronal rhythms and their inter-areal synchronization for bottom-up and top-down influences and for selective attention. Experiments will be performed in awake macaques and in both anesthetized and awake marmosets. The Fries lab is at the Ernst Strüngmann Institute (ESI) for Neuroscience in Cooperation with Max Planck Society. The ESI is located in Frankfurt, one of Germany’s most international cities. The ESI provides outstanding structural funding, infrastructure and support at the level of Max Planck Institutes.
