The Department of Psychology at the American University of Beirut invites applications for a faculty position in human cognition, with areas of interest including but not restricted to: learning, memory, attention, decision making, reward processing, social cognition and evolutionary mechanisms of cognition. Candidates must be able to teach undergraduate and graduate level courses in their area of expertise.
We seek candidates who are committed to excellence in research, teaching, and institutional service. The position is to begin August 15, 2017 and requires a PhD by the time of appointment. The appointment is for an initial period of four years with opportunities for renewal and advancement. The usual teaching load is not more than 5 courses a year. The language of instruction is English.
