Clinical Fellow in Neurology
A position as a clinical fellow SKO 1378 in the Department of Clinical Medicine. Work for teaching are Department of Neurology, Oslo University Hospital Rikshospitalet pt. The position is vacant from 01.08.2017.
The appointment as a clinical research fellow applies for a period of five years. The position includes research training equivalent to three years of age (60% of score) in parallel with teaching work equivalent to 2 years (40%). Duty work consists of teaching (see below).
Teaching tasks of the clinical candidate will mainly consist of small groups of medical students in neurology, Preclinical courses and journal rectification. The clinical research fellow will also be able to tasks related to the planning and liquidation of examination. Note that teaching assignments may be changed according to the current requirements at any time.
The aim of doctoral education is a PhD degree. All clinical fellows at the Faculty of Medicine is committed to follow the doctoral program to PhD at the University of Oslo. The successful applicant as a clinical research fellow must apply for admission to the PhD program within three months of starting the position.

Grade requirements for admission to the PhD program will not apply to applicants with Norwegian physician education. Draft research project can be enclosed application, or submitted after the employment. The research project must describe topics, issues, choice of theory and method and timetable for the research project.
The applicant can attach itself to a research by the department, or present his own regime. Alternatively, Department of Neurology assist with projects and find appropriate supervisor. The research work will be anchored by one of the research groups at the Department of Neurology, but may well be in collaboration with other institutions or departments. The applicant must, in collaboration with his supervisor, within three months of starting position, have prepared a complete proposal which shall accompany the application for admission to the PhD program.
Qualifications and personal qualities
In assessing the applications will be placed on the draft research project and the applicant's academic and personal qualifications for conducting research and teaching.
The research fellowship is an education position and has completed postgraduate until Ph.D. aims. We're interested in qualified and motivated applicants and offer development in a stimulating academic environment. Department of Neurology has increasing activity and several ongoing projects with a need for good PhD candidates.
