About the opportunity The Kam Ling Barbara Lo Chair in Neurodegenerative Disorders will be situated at the Brain and Mind Centre of the University of Sydney, a pre-eminent multidisciplinary facility at the forefront of brain and mind sciences. The successful applicant will provide academic leadership in basic neuroscience with translational links to clinical neuroscience, particularly in neurodegenerative and dementia research. The successful candidate may bring particular experience in the realm of inflammation, genetics, animal or cellular models, particularly in relation to large-scale neurodegenerative and dementia-related research programs currently underway at the Brain and Mind Centre. The appointee will be assigned to the Central Clinical School, Sydney Medical School, and will report to the Bushell Chair of Neurology, the first continuing Chair of Neurology in Australia and one of the most prestigious in the country. Term and remuneration The position is offered on a fixed-term basis initially for up to 5 years, subject to completion of a satisfactory probation and confirmation period for new appointees.
