Postdoctoral position (Strasbourg, France) in Brain Imaging of Taste Perception in Children
The Laboratory ICube (Strasbourg, France) is inviting applications for a postdoctoral position to study taste perception using fMRI in heathy and obese children.
The laboratory ICube hosts an interdisciplinary community with imaging as the unifying theme. With around 650 members of the University of Strasbourg and the National Center for Scientific Research (CNRS), ICube is a major driving force for research in Strasbourg and give access to several brain imaging facilities, such as MRI, EEG, PET, TMS.
The research project aims at better understanding the integration of taste information in healthy, overweight, and obese children using fMRI. The successful candidate will contribute to MRI acquisitions, data analysis, and will prepare scientific papers. This project is funded by the French National Research Agency (ANR), the University of Strasbourg, and by the GrandEst Region of Strasbourg.
Your profile
- PhD in Neuroscience, Neuroimaging, Experimental Psychology, or related fields - Junior researcher (< 4 years after PhD) - Knowledge in MRI (data acquisition and analysis, SPM, ICA) - Knowledge in chemosensory perception (taste, olfaction) - Highly motivated, strong team player, and fluent English in speech and writing.
