Centre for Cognitive and Brain Sciences (ICI-CCBS)
The Centre for Cognitive and Brain Sciences is a newly established centre under the Institute of Collaborative Innovation (ICI). The Centre is dedicated to advancing the study of mind, neuroimaging, brain functions, cognition and brain disorders. The Centre promotes interdisciplinary research in brain cognition and neuroscience, covering humanities, business administration, education, health sciences, law, science and technology, social sciences and other disciplines. The Centre invites applications for Chair/Distinguished/Full Professor in the following discipline as a joint appointment with other faculties of the University as appropriate:

Human Cognitive Neuroscience 

Qualifications

Applicants must have a PhD degree in related areas with research focus in the area of cognition and brain science, broadly construed.  Applicants should possess a distinguished record of internationally-recognized research and scholarship in human cognitive neuroscience, particular in addiction, gaming and decision making and also possess demonstrated capabilities in the multidisciplinary fields of cognition, neuroscience and neuroimaging.

 The selected candidate is expected to assume duty in December 2019 or earlier. 

Remuneration

A taxable annual remuneration starting from MOP1,170,400 (approximately USD144,490) and appointment rank offered will be commensurate with the successful applicants’ academic qualification and relevant professional experience. The current local maximum income tax rate is 12% but is effectively around 5% - 7% after various discretionary exemptions. Apart from competitive remuneration, UM offers a wide range of benefits, such as medical insurance, provident fund, on campus accommodation/housing allowance and other subsidies.
