DescriptionThe undergraduate Neuroscience Interdepartmental Program at UCLA seeks lecturers to teach up to six courses (full time) across the Fall, Winter, and Spring Quarters of 2020-21 (2 courses per quarter). Percentage of employment will vary according to number of courses taught. Positions may be part-time, and of limited duration. However, applicants seeking to teach these same courses (see below) across multiple years are preferred. Applications will be accepted on a continuous basis. Courses with vacancy for instructor(s) include: NS10, NS 101, NS 101L, NS M135, NS 181, NS 192B http://www.neurosci.ucla.edu/course-descriptions.html Duties: Teach (and co-teach) lecture, laboratory, and outreach in neuroscience and other topics as needed; plan and coordinate discussion activities for multiple sections of courses; supervise course teaching assistants; manage the acquisition and maintenance of course materials; develop computer applications for the classroom; supervise student projects; and maintain office hours.
