Job descriptionJob summaryAs a member of the Centres for Neuropsychopharmacology and Psychedelic Research at Imperial College, the post-holder will report to Dr Erritzoe (line manager). The post is for a full-time research associate with their main role in managing and co-ordinating EEG data collection and processing across numerous clinical psychopharmacological studies, including (but not limited to) chronic pain, OCD, ketamine, micro-dosing, 5MEO-DMT, ibogaine, and DMT. Duties and responsibilitiesYou should have extensive experience with EEG including study set-up, data acquisition, data cleaning and pre-processing (for example a post-doc who has overseen extensive EEG experiments as part of their PhD). Additionally, you should have in depth technical knowledge of EEG equipment and be able to assist junior members of the team in running experiments. You should also have strong organisational and time management skills, as well as experience handling and managing large and complex datasets. Experience coding experiments and analysis scripts in MatLab, Python, or similar languages is a plus but not a requirement. Additional responsibilities include attending regular team meetings, assisting with general laboratory activities, undertaking necessary training and/or development activities, to be flexible, and help other team members with their studies / data collection, and to undertake appropriate administration tasks as directed by the line manager. Further informationThis post is full-time, fixed term for one year with possible extension for a 2nd year, is based at our Hammersmith Campus and in a new research clinic at St Charles Hospital (CNWL NHS Foundation Trust & Imperial College clinical research collaboration). Candidates who have not yet been officially awarded their PhD will be appointed as a Research Assistant within the salary range £36,045 - £39,183 per annum.
