Applications are invited for a Research Assistant to join the team of Dr William McEwan, to undertake lab-based research at the UK Dementia Research Institute, Department of Clinical Neurosciences.

The purpose of this role is to support and maintain the University's national and international reputation for excellence in teaching and research.

Contribution to excellence in research will be as a member of a research team carrying out research under the direction of a principal investigator to include data collection, analysis and some interpretation. Contribution to publications may be encouraged.

The role holder will participate in the overall contribution of the department and Institute, as appropriate. The role holder will assist students and other researchers with designing and conducting research projects, as well as performing experiments and collect and interpret data.

The successful applicant holds a BSc in a relevant specialist subject and will have some previous research experience or have evidence of lab competence. For further information on this role please click the Further Particulars link below.

Fixed-term: The funds for this post are available for 18 months in the first instance.
